Charter schools are required to enroll new students via a public random drawing (enrollment lottery) whenever they receive more applications than space is available – and historically, this is the case for River Oak Charter School. No “First come, first served.” Applicants must reside in the state of California.

Students in grades Kindergarten – Eight who reside in the state of California will be considered for admission to River Oak Charter School without regard to actual or perceived disability, gender, race or ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic that is contained in the definition of hate crimes set forth in Section 422.55 of the Penal Code, or association with individuals with one or more of the above characteristics.
